Hmmmm, this article doesn't state anything about the ps3's bluray player quality. The fact is the ps3 does an average job in motion especially in action scenes. This has already been proven. The recent issue of Sound and Vision puts the ps3 fifth out of 10 bluray players with the Panasonic bluray player being the best.
For watching bluray movies, the ps3 is not the best bluray player.

Great presentation. But it still has the same gameplay and moves. Easy button mashing with easy AI. God of War has always been a game with great presentation with lil challenge. To bad they didn't evolve the gameplay.
The Bravia's are decent sets but sit in the middle of the top 10 sets you can buy. The ps3's bluray player is also in the middle of the pack in quality. At one point long ago, Sony was always number 1.
The Sony WEGA was the best tv money can buy. The walkman and portable cd player was the best portable music player you can get and the ps2 destroyed everybody in sales. You can't say that now.
Excellent article. He makes valid points. A long time ago Sony was a powerhouse. Thee electronic giant. Well now they're sitting in the middle of the pack in almost every area. Sony tv's were number 1 at one point. Now they're behind Samsung, Panasonic, and Pioneer. Sony had the mighty walkman but now they're no where near the iPod. The ps1 and ps2 had no rivals in terms of sales and now the ps3 is still in last place.
The fact is that Sony is not the giant is used to be....
